Saturday morning we all went to the city Easter egg hunt. They had it sectioned off according to age. Jason was in the 0-2 year age. There were tons of eggs all over the grass. There weren't very many people there when we got there 20 minutes before it started, but as the time got closer more and more people came. Jason wanted to run and get the eggs before it was time to so my mom and I had to take turns holding him. They had all the kids go at once so it was crazy but fun. He did so good. I'd point out an egg and he'd run over, pick it up, and put it in his bucket. He got 12 eggs total. We then went back to my mom's house to see how everyone did. One of my nephews only got 2 eggs so I'm glad Jason was able to get more and really experience the hunt.
Later that day we got all the kids together and colored some eggs. Jason loved it. He didn't want to stop. He wanted to pick the egg up with his spoon and hold it like the other kids. He made a huge mess but it was so much fun. Once we got that all cleaned up and the kids went to bed the parents stayed up playing a game and then planned out the hunts that we would do. We were all laughing and having a good time. I really thought my brother-in-law was going to make my mom pee her pants from laughing so hard. (If anyone knows my mom, she gets very giggly when she is really tired.)
Sunday morning the kids all woke up and got to get their baskets full of candy. They went to town downing as much as they could.
Sunday afternoon we had a huge Easter dinner and some more egg hunts. Dinner was so yummy. We had grilled chicken, potato salad, bacon ranch salad, a pasta salad, rolls, and a veggie tray. I ate a ton of food. Then we had the kids split up into three groups. The youngest kids got to get their eggs first. Jason was in that group. He did good at this one too. He got all of his eggs and was so excited. Then the middle group went, this is the one that my sisters, my mom, and I planned. They did a good job finding all their clues and eggs. Then the oldest kids did a hunt that Gary and Kenny put together. They had the kids running all over the neighborhood. It was so much fun to watch them. While the kids were looking for a couple of their clues at the park I watched Jason play on the play ground. He decided to go down the big slide by himself. I was very surprised.

Yeap, one day something just clicks and they are going down the slide on their on. Looks like you had a great easter. It was nice to see you guys on Saturday, we need to do it again and not bring the kids, it would be so much more relaxing and we could all fit in one table.
