2011 Goals Update

I'll be honest, there are a few goals that I haven't started working on yet. But there are some that I feel are going well so far.

Kenny and I set up a budget and have started doing the envelope system for our eating out money and for groceries. The envelope system is where you put whatever money you budgeted for a specific thing into an envelope and that is all you can spend. I like doing it where it's cash and not just set up on a different bank account. It is amazing how much more $5 seems when you have to pull a bill out to pay for things instead of swiping your debit card .This system is working wonders for us. It really has me thinking about what I buy at the grocery store, what I order when we go out to eat, and when I should really go out to eat or just buck up and fix the meal at home. I am hoping that after some time of getting use to this system that we can lower the amount that we budget for food and put it towards other bills or to savings.

Jason has started wearing underwear during the day. We have to tell him to go potty but hopefully soon he will start to tell us when he needs to go or just go in and go himself. He is wearing pull-ups at night and has woken up dry a few times. I hope this means that he will be fully potty trained within the next few months.

Kenny and I have had a few date nights. It's been kind of hard for me to leave the kiddos at home with some one but I do have to admit that I LOVE having some alone time with Kenny.

I hope to have more updates soon. :)

A and I finally combined finances last year because I was having such a hard time being responsible with my money. Since then I have been given a weekly allowance. I can tell you, it has taught me a LOT about buying what I need versus what I want.

Woohoo on the potty training! I hope he is out of diapers all together in the next few weeks. :)

Glad to hear or the great budgeting idea is working. And Yeah for Jason in underwear! and aren't "HOT Dates" so fun! Not that I think my brother is hot, but pretty sure it runs in the family! Love you, and miss you "The Biggest Much!"
