Four years ago today I began the most wonderful journey of my life, I married my sweetheart. As Kenny would say, "It has felt like 4 minutes......under water." Of course he is joking when he says that (right?). On a more serious note, this has been the best years of my life.
Kenny and I met on a blind date. We went to dinner at the Pizza Factory and then to the play Le Miserable. When Kenny bought the tickets for the play he didn't realize that it was going to be kids doing it, but it ended up being really good. He then dropped me off at my apartment and gave me the sweetest kiss on the forehead. My heart melted. The next day he called me on the phone and we talked for a while and decided that we needed to see each other again. I ended up going up to his mom's house where he was living at the time and meeting most of his family. After that we were inseparable.
We got engaged shortly after Valentines Day. Everyone thought that I was going to get a ring on Valentines Day but I didn't. We were at my sister's house for a luncheon. We were all waiting on my brother-in-law and Kenny to come in so we could get things started. When he came in he was carrying a dozen red roses. He came up to me, got down on one knee, pulled out the ring and asked me to marry him. He was so nervous he was shaking. I've never seen him that nervous. Of course I said yes!
On May 14th we were married at the Chillon. The wedding and reception was absolutely gorgeous. We were glad to have the support of our family and friends. We had a great chocolate fountain with lots of yummy things to dip in it. We went on our honeymoon to Glacier National Park in Waterton Canada.
Kenny,
I love you more than anything in this world. I knew when I first met you that you were the one that I wanted to share my life with. You are the best husband I could ask for. You are a great father. I love the way you are with Jason. I can’t wait to have more kids with you. You are so sweet, loving, kind, funny, smart, and so much more. Thank you for being my best friend. I love how when I cry you want to make everything better and will talk with me into the wee hours of the morning just so I can get it out. I love to snuggle up to you. I love how your hugs can make my all my fears and stresses go away. I am proud of your choices to serve the Lord by going on a mission and to serve your country in the National Guard. You are so patient and kind with me when I am being a crazy lady. I appreciate everything you do for me. I know we have had our struggles and trials and I’m glad I have gone through them with you by my side. You lift me up when I am down. I am a better person because of you. I wish I could put all my feelings into words but there are feelings deep in my heart that I just can’t put into words. I love you!
