A little bit ago we decided to go on a trip to San Francisco. We were able to fly out for really cheap because we had a credit voucher and Jason was still young enough to fly for free. The flight there went pretty good but the flight back was even better. Jason was able to sit in his own seat. He was a lot more comfortable and was able to sleep for pretty much the full flight. He really loved looking out the window, I had to pry him away from it when it was time to get off the plane.
Kenny's sister Julie lives in California so we were able to hang out and play with her and her family. Jason had a lot of fun playing with his cousins. Jason loved their dog Molly. She kept jumping up on him and he would get upset but every time we put the dog in another room he would let her out. He would also taunt her through the glass door when she was put outside. We had fun staying at Julies house for the first 3 nights we were there.
The day after we flew in we went to Great America and went on all the fun rides. Jason didn't mind the rides. He didn't show much emotion as to how much he liked or did not like it. He did however giggle when we went on the merry-go-round. There is a fountain right next to it and the wind would blow some of the water to you so it was a nice way to cool down. Jason thought it was great. I forgot the camera so I don't have any fun pictures there.
On Sunday we went to church and then we went to the Children's Discover Museum. They have a lot of fun things there. Jason's favorite was the water area. They gave all the kids a plastic apron to cover their clothes so they wouldn't get too wet. They had lots of fun things you could do with these little plastic balls in the water. They also had a fun bubble room where you could make huge bubbles.
Monday we went to a SF Giants game. AT&T park is so pretty. I never realized how huge it was until I saw it in person. We had some great tickets thanks to Julie. They were between home and 1st and only a few rows up. We were in the shade so it got a little chilly but it was so much fun. During the game one of the Giants hit a home run and I thought that Kenny was going to cry with excitement. The Giants won the Braves. It was a fun game to watch. Jason did so good.
On Monday we were also able to go over the Bay Bridge and the Golden Gate Bridge. The structure of the bridges are so amazing. That night we went and stayed in a little inn called Pelican Inn (www.pelicaninn.com). Kenny found it online and thought that it would be a nice place to stay in. It wasn't what either of us expected but it was alright. It would have been a lot more enjoyable if we didn't have Jason there with us. We didn't have a TV in our room so luckily Kenny thought to pull out his laptop and let Jason watch a movie on it. We went for a little walk to Pelican Beach. It is a very pretty beach.
Tuesday we had a little time before we were scheduled to fly out so we went to Point Bonita Light House. We were unable to go up to the light house because the tour was not going but we were able to get a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge and of the ocean. We got some good pictures there. I love light houses. Maybe some day will get the chance to go inside one. We also went and saw the Oakland Temple. We had a lot of fun and hope to go out again some day to see Julie's family and to go play some more. Thanks Julie for having us over.
