Go-Getter

I have been inspired by a very close friend of mine to become a go-getter. She knows what she wants and she does whatever she has to do to get it. She does it for herself and no one else. For example, she wanted to be my friend after seeing me once back in the day when we worked together, and now we are really good friends. She has the strongest desire to be a mom. She was not about to throw in the towel after many times of doing infertility treatments and now she is a mother and she is determined to be the best mother out there. She wanted to try to get her pre pregnancy body back and has worked VERY hard even when she didn't want to and it has paid off. I have many more examples of how great she is at getting a goal and doing what is needed to achieve it, but I'll stop here.

I want to be like my friend. I want to become that same type of go-getter. I want to save money on grocery bills. I am determined to do so and have started to use coupons in order to achieve that. I want to be better about my temper so I will do my best to keep my cool and let go of the little things. I want to be a better wife and mother. I know there are things I can change in order to do so and I will try my best to improve myself by changing them. I hope that I am able to "keep my eye on the ball" when it comes to achieving my goals.

I've watched some one close to me use other people and things as an excuse to their unhappiness. That is just not right! We need to face ourselves and take responsibility for our own choices. Things aren't going to get better because we think of doing so but not acting on it. We need to act on our desires. We need to get a clue. I am not doing this post to upset anyone but more to try and motive others like my friend has motivated me.

Awww! You're doing awesome friend. You just need to find what lights your fire. Mine was my belly before I even got pg, so to see it post-baby has been too much to handle. That's where my fire started. Then Hubs sent that honeymoon picture and I finally broke out my Be.nder Ba.ll. Screw this pudgy belly crap! And you know how the say it gets worse when you get pg with #2? No thanks. I'll tighten it back up before then thank you very much! Just figure out what gets you going, and then stay on top of it. It only takes 40 days of doing before it becomes a habit. ;)

You're a tough cookie. You can do it!

One day it just clicks doesn't it? I think it's just a matter of time before we reach that point of maturity that allow us to see things in a responsible way, wether it's health, finances, relationships, etc. Glad you are there.

Those are some great goals. Just keep recommitting to those goals if you break them. I find I always have to do that a few times, but just keep working at them! I find it just take me longer than others to reach my goals, especially when it comes to things like weight.
