Fishing/Camping Trip to Otter Creek

My first few days of being home with Jason I was invited to go camping with my parents, my sister Sherrie and her kids. We left on Monday and returned on Wednesday. I wasn't sure how things were going to go without Kenny there to help with Jason but for the most part things went really good. Jason and I had a lot of fun fishing and camping with the family. Here is a picture of Jason and Saige playing. She is so cute with Jason.Raiden was the first to catch a fish. He did an awesome job reeling it in. I can't believe how grown up he is now. My dad let him drive the boat while going fast. I was very impressed with his boat driving skills.

While fishing Jason started to get a little stir crazy so my mom thought it would be fun to honk the horn. Jason was so curious as to where the sound was coming from. It was so funny.

Here is a picture of Rem driving the boat while we were trolling. He was so proud of himself and was begging for someone to take a picture so he could show his dad.

Jason was pretty good about having to wear a life vest on the boat the whole time. He was so cute in it. It was funny because if he bent over he could not get back up on his own. The poor guy fell forward a couple of times. Once he hit his head on the floor of the boat and one time he tipped over and I tried to help him up and accidental made him bonk his head on a pole holder. He took his hat off and rubbed his head and gave me a "gee mom what was that for" look.

There were a couple of crazy things that happened to us while on this trip. I started out by getting my foot shut in the truck door on accident. It left a pretty crazy bruise on my foot. It is just now going away.
We all went to bed Tuesday night and were fast asleep and we hear this crashing sound. My mom asked my dad if he heard it and he said yes and I said yes and we were all trying to figure out what happened. My mom thought for sure that someone had hit my sister's trailer so we peeked out the window in the middle of the night and couldn't see anything so after a while we just went back to sleep. The next morning we asked Sherrie if she had heard it and she told us what had happened. I guess while in the middle of the night Raiden had rolled off the bed and landed on the floor with a big thump. She said it took her a while to figure out what had happened and when she asked Raiden if he was ok he said he was and that he was just laying there and all the sudden he dove off the bed or something of that sort. We all got a pretty good laugh out of it.
Another crazy thing that happened is that my parent's boat broke again on the day were were planning on leaving. I feel bad because it seems like every time I got fishing with my parents their boat breaks. My dad likes to say that boat is an acronym for Break Out Another Thousand. We were about to go out to do a last round of fishing before we left. We were going full speed and we hear a clunk so we stopped the boat immediately. Long story short we end up having to paddle a while before a small fishing boat with three guys decided to stop and help us back to the dock. I thought for sure that their small boat was going to sink while trying to pull us back but we made it to the dock ok and we were able to get the boat back onto the trailer. We then packed up and headed home.

Looks like fun! That is sooo cool you dont have to work anymore and be a stay and home mom. That would be the best thing ever! Were in you in Delta for the 4th? We were but we skipped the derby this year. Glad things are going good for ya. Where do you guys live now?

Sounds like you had fun. I can't believe how big Sherrie's kids are. I remember when Rem was a baby and Raiden would come and say "sit by you" I think he was three or four then. Time sure flies.

That was fun!! I am so glad you and JJ were able to come with us. Raiden's story was actually the he "was laying there and then just belly flopped". Hilarious!

What a fun weekend. JJ looks so cute in his little life vest. I love that he was trying to figure out where the horn was coming from. It is so great that your sister got to go so soon after her surgery. It sounds like you guys had a lot of fun. It further sounds like this SAHM mom gig is working for you. ;) I'm so glad. :D
